About the event

The prevalence of HIV among African American women in the South is significantly higher than other racial groups, with Black women accounting for a disproportionately large share of new HIV diagnoses in the region. In fact, Black women represent a significant percentage of new HIV diagnoses among women in the United States, with the South having the largest proportion.
