Teresa Garcia

Teresa Garcia has over 30 years’ experience working in the field of Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders. A degreed professional, she has strong background in management. Graduated from Instituto Tecnológico Nacional de México -TECNM-Matamoros Campus - received her diploma as Licenciado en Relaciones Industriales. She is an International Certified Prevention Specialist (ICPS), Advanced Certified Prevention Specialist (ACPS) and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) receiving the addiction counseling education and training thru Hazelden, and becoming a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in 1997. She has successfully combined her strong background in management and her training in the field of addiction and mental health. For the past 16 plus years she worked in two non-profit organizations as a Senior Program Director of Prevention and Intervention Services.

SANDRA S. OLSON Dr.P.H. CHES ICPS LCDC

Executive Director, Coalition of Behavioral Health Services

Dr. Olson is a native Houstonian. She holds a doctorate in public health from the University of Texas School of Public Health, with a specialty in health promotion and behavioral sciences. She is an Internationally-Certified Prevention Specialist, a Certified Health Education Specialist, and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. Dr. Olson is in long-term recovery from substance addiction, and is an active member of the local recovery community. In 2017, Dr. Olson was named “Addiction Professional of the Year” by the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals.

2024 BOARD OFFICERS

Janice deRoulet is currently Treasurer of Coalition of Behavior Health. Janice is a retired CPA, whose 25-year career as an internal auditor included performing internal audits on a variety of industries, including 3 years at the University of Houston. She earned a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Houston. She is active in her church and volunteers with various non-profit organizations. She resides with her husband Eddie deRoulet.
