About the event
This session provides an in-depth overview of the Prevention Resource Center (PRC) Region 6 and the role of the Regional Alignment Coordinator in advancing substance use prevention across Southeast Texas. Participants will learn how the PRC supports local coalitions and HHSC-funded organizations through training, data dissemination, and strategic planning. This presentation will highlight prevention frameworks, regional initiatives,
and innovative tools such as the Community Data Dashboard and Youth Prevention Leadership Academy. Emphasis will be placed on collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and the Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) training pathway. This session is designed for behavioral health professionals to equip attendees with actionable strategies to strengthen prevention work in their communities.
