About the event

I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Master of Arts in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling, along with the class requirements to fulfill the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and apply for my LPC as well as my LMFT license. I graduated during the start of the pandemic in 2020, which impacted the populations I began seeing and the format used. Telehealth sessions were my norm during my first job at a psychiatric clinic in the Bellaire area. I have focused on working with clients who belong to marginalized populations; the majority of my clients have been minorities, immigrants, queer, native Spanish speakers, complex trauma survivors, families affected by immigration separation, and other oppressed communities who live with unstable housing, low income, and sometimes minors oppressed in their own household.

Connecting Communities

We connect and involve community members from all walks of life--drug prevention and treatment providers, families, businesses, law enforcement, communities of recovery, schools, the media--to increase public and private harm-reduction, prevention, treatment, and recovery resources for local neighborhoods and communities.
